Robotics and Coding in Aragon Classrooms: More Than 450 Teachers Train in New Technologies

More than 450 teachers from Huesca, Zaragoza and Teruel took part this Thursday in a joint event to promote robotics, coding and educational technologies in Aragonese schools. The meeting brought together coordinators for training in learning technologies (COFOTAP), who are responsible for encouraging the educational use of these tools among teaching staff.

The session, held simultaneously at teacher training centers in the three provinces and also online, focused on the Código Escuela 4.0 program, the exchange of experiences and the development of new proposals based on a STEAM approach, which integrates Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics.

COFOTAP coordinators act as facilitators in schools and secondary schools. Their duties include promoting computational thinking, encouraging digital vocations from an early age and supporting the responsible integration of technology into the curriculum.

These coordinators also take part in developing and implementing each school’s Digital Plan and receive support from ICT advisory services and the Aragon Center for Educational Technologies (CATEDU), which provides them with technical and educational assistance.
