Rain eases in Aragon, but cold remains: temperatures as low as 2 degrees in these areas

After two rainy days, the rain is easing and sunshine will begin to break through across much of the region from today. However, autumnal weather will persist over the coming days, with cool mornings and temperatures that, despite a slight recovery, will remain around 20 degrees during the central hours of the day. This is according to the forecast from the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), which points to a more stable week after Storm DANA Adam passed through.

This Tuesday, October 20, will be a day of transition. Clouds will still be present during the early hours and could bring some light rain to parts of Teruel province and the Huesca Pyrenees. However, clear skies will gradually become more widespread as the day progresses, with high temperatures reaching 20 degrees in Zaragoza and Teruel and 18 degrees in Huesca.

The improvement will become established from Wednesday, when sunshine will take center stage across much of Aragon. Rainfall will ease and daytime temperatures will remain mild, although overnight lows will continue to be low, particularly in Teruel province, where temperatures could approach 3 degrees in the early hours over the coming days.

SUNSHINE TAKES OVER IN ARAGON, BUT MORNINGS WILL REMAIN COOL

Looking ahead to Wednesday, October 21, Aemet forecasts mostly clear or partly cloudy skies across much of the region, with no significant rainfall. In Zaragoza, highs will be around 20 degrees, while Huesca will reach 18 and Teruel will again approach 20. The first hours of the day will be the coldest, with temperatures potentially falling to 5 degrees in the provincial capital of Teruel.

This stable pattern will continue on Thursday and Friday, with mostly sunny skies and some scattered clouds. Zaragoza will record highs of around 20 degrees, while Huesca will see slightly lower temperatures. In Teruel, the temperature contrast will be more pronounced, with relatively mild afternoons and cold early mornings.

Although the temperature drop of recent days will gradually lose intensity, the weather will remain typical of autumn. Jackets will still be necessary first thing in the morning and after nightfall, particularly in inland areas and at higher elevations.
