The aid is intended to fund initiatives that improve students’ physical and emotional health, from promoting a balanced diet and physical activity to preventing addictions, encouraging responsible screen use and improving school coexistence. It also includes initiatives related to mental health, suicide prevention, eating disorders and affective-sexual education.

THESE ARE THE SCHOOLS AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS THAT WILL RECEIVE THE AID

The resolution lists a wide range of beneficiary educational centers, both in the three Aragonese provincial capitals and in numerous municipalities across the region. The amounts ultimately allocated vary depending on the center and the assessment received, with prorated grants reaching 575.57 euros in several cases.

In the city of Zaragoza, the beneficiary schools include Emilio Moreno Calvete, Eugenio López y López, Fernando el Católico, María Moliner, Ramiro Soláns, Tenerías, Valdespartera, Parque Venecia, Arcosur, Vadorrey-Les Allées, Ciudad de Zaragoza and Catalina de Aragón-Ronda Norte. MENTAL HEALTH, SCREENS AND HEALTHY EATING

The grants are part of the strategy to promote health in the education sector and aim to encourage healthy habits from the earliest stages of schooling. The initiatives eligible for funding include programs on nutrition, physical exercise, sustainable mobility and preventing the use of tobacco, alcohol and other drugs.

One of the key aspects of the call for applications is its focus on the emotional well-being and mental health of children and teenagers. The aid also covers initiatives to prevent eating disorders and suicide, as well as measures to improve coexistence and promote equality within the educational community.

Another area covered is the use of new technologies. The call includes the prevention of problems related to the use of mobile phones, video games and other screens, along with activities on affective-sexual health, the prevention of sexually transmitted infections and the creation of safe and sustainable school environments.

The grants were awarded after evaluating the applications submitted, taking into account the projects and the centers’ participation in the Aragonese Network of Health-Promoting Schools. Applicants had to achieve a minimum score of six points to qualify for the aid.

Beneficiary centers have ten days from the day after the resolution is published to expressly accept the grants. The deadline for justifying expenses related to the funded initiatives will be November 18, 2026.
