The campaign will take place on October 10, 22, 23, 24, 28, 29 and 30, with different time slots and two Saturday sessions to facilitate participation and work-life balance. Pharmacists, veterinarians, dentists, doctors, nurses, podiatrists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, psychologists and nutritionists may book an appointment, along with other staff at the pharmacies, clinics and healthcare centers of these professionals.

To receive the vaccine, healthcare professionals must have an AR CIP number from the Aragonese Health Service and book an appointment through the form available on the website of the Zaragoza Official College of Pharmacists.

This pioneering initiative was launched in 2024 to bring vaccination closer to healthcare professionals, especially those working in the private sector. These professionals play a key role in preventing these diseases, both by looking after their own health and through their contact with people who may face a higher risk of complications.

“Vaccinating healthcare professionals is a commitment to our own health and to the people we care for, especially the most vulnerable patients. At the College, we want to make that commitment easier by bringing vaccination closer and helping ensure that work schedules or a lack of time are not a barrier. This is a practical way to contribute to public health and care for those who care for others,” said COFZ President Raquel García Fuentes.

NEARLY 9,000 PROFESSIONALS VACCINATED IN THE FIRST TWO EDITIONS

The COFZ Vaccination Center vaccinated 856 healthcare professionals during its first two editions. In 2025, overall satisfaction with the service received an average score of 9.91 out of 10. These results highlight the importance of bringing vaccination closer to professional settings. Some 77% of respondents said that locating the center at the COFZ headquarters increased their willingness to get vaccinated, while 98% said they intended to repeat the experience.

In addition, among the reasons for not getting vaccinated during previous campaigns, 41% cited lack of time or forgetfulness as the main barrier.

Some 95% of surveyed participants support expanding vaccination sites to other professional settings, including pharmacies. Aragon’s network, made up of nearly 800 pharmacies and also present in rural areas, offers a reach and proximity that can make it easier for the public to access vaccination and help improve coverage rates.
