ATADES students kick off Club Inclucina's 11th Inclusive Cooking Workshops

As a new feature this year, the program extends training throughout the entire school year, dedicating each quarter to a different center: from September to December, the ATADES-San Martin de Porres Special Education School; from January to March, the Santo Ángel Occupational and Residential Center; and from April to June, the Autism Unit. This will allow a greater number of ATADES users to take part. The monthly workshops will culminate in master classes at restaurants and closing events where the students will demonstrate the skills they have acquired.

Councilor Marián Orós joined eight students from the ATADES-San Martín de Porres Special Education School, the protagonists of the program's first phase, along with the participating chefs, sponsors and partner organizations. "The city has a genuine commitment to inclusion and accessibility, and this year we are already a benchmark in these areas," Orós said.

The workshops will begin this month and take place monthly through December. The first phase will involve the eight students from the ATADES-San Martín de Porres Special Education School: Elia Martín, Claudia Salas, Sergio Sánchez, Alejandro Palacios, Ángela Pacompia, Aroa Zhili Monreal, Ghoufran Nouar and Aly Cisse. They will learn recipes designed by four prominent chefs from the three provinces of Aragon: Susana Casanova, from La Clandestina restaurant in Zaragoza; Sergio Sainz, from Lavedán restaurant in Tramacastilla de Tena (Huesca); David Sebastián, from the Masía La Torre hotel and restaurant in Mora de Rubielos (Teruel); and Rubén Martín, from La Flor de Lis restaurant in Zaragoza.

Alongside them, they will discover culinary products, techniques and processes in a real-world learning environment, strengthening skills that contribute to their personal and social development. This edition's culinary talents with heart are endorsed as provincial figures by Cristian Palacio, from Gente Rara (Zaragoza); Carmelo Bosque, from Lillas Pastia (Huesca); and María José Meda, from El Batán (Tramacastilla-Teruel), all of them leading Aragonese restaurants awarded a Michelin Star.

Each workshop will be complemented by a master class at the corresponding chef's establishment, where the students will be able to experience a professional environment and put what they have learned into practice.
