As in previous seasons, the vaccines will be administered in stages and, when indicated, priority will be given to administering the flu and COVID-19 vaccines simultaneously.
The main new development in the flu campaign will be the expansion of the child population covered by vaccination, from children up to 7 years old in the previous season to all boys and girls aged between 6 months and 11 years.
The Government of Aragon has set different start dates depending on the population group.
ARAGON'S 2026/2027 FLU VACCINATION SCHEDULE
Flu vaccination will begin on September 28 for the first groups considered a priority.
SEPTEMBER 28: FIRST GROUPS
Flu vaccination will begin on September 28 for:
- Residents of nursing homes. - Social and healthcare workers. - Pregnant women. - People with severe dependency or a very high risk. The campaign will then be rolled out in stages to facilitate access to vaccination and optimize dose distribution.
OCTOBER 5 TO 19: SCHOOL-BASED CHILD VACCINATION
School-based child vaccination will take place between October 5 and 19, with the participation of 159 schools. The campaign is aimed at the child population covered by the new recommendation, which includes boys and girls aged from 6 months to 11 years.
OCTOBER 19: HEALTH CENTERS AND PEOPLE OVER 80
Child flu vaccination will begin on October 19 at health centers and accredited private vaccination centers. On the same day, people over 80 and those belonging to high-risk groups will also join the campaign.
NOVEMBER 3: PEOPLE OVER 60
On November 3, the remaining groups included in the campaign will join, including people over 60 and others with risk factors.
ARAGON'S 2026/2027 COVID-19 VACCINATION SCHEDULE
The COVID-19 vaccination campaign will also follow a staggered schedule and may be administered simultaneously with the flu vaccine when indicated.
SEPTEMBER 28
COVID-19 vaccination will begin on September 28 for:
-Residents of residential care centers. -Workers at these centers. -Pregnant women. -Healthcare facility workers.
OCTOBER 19
The following groups will join on October 19:
- People over 80. - People belonging to high-risk groups.
NOVEMBER 3
On November 3, the campaign will expand to the remaining risk groups and people over 70.
RSV VACCINATION: DATES FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN
The immunization campaign against respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) will also take place during the fall.
SEPTEMBER 28
For adults, RSV vaccination will begin on September 28 and will target residents over 60 in nursing homes and people at very high risk.
OCTOBER 1
For children, the RSV campaign will begin on October 1 for risk groups and the target population.
