Aragon and Catalonia Team Up to Improve Emergency Care
Improving patient care when a health emergency occurs in border areas between Aragon and Catalonia was the aim of a meeting held Tuesday in Fraga, attended by professionals from 061 Aragon and Catalonia’s Medical Emergency System (SEM).

During the meeting, participants analyzed clinical cases, coronary emergencies and joint responses to incidents involving multiple victims, as well as issues such as triage, the chain of command and coordination posts.
The event also addressed the exchange of medical records and care reports, communication problems in areas with no coverage, joint drills and shared training between the two services.
