The initiative already has 534 students enrolled from 12 vocational training centers, and registration remains open until September 30. The goal is to reach 1,500 participants from public, publicly funded and private centers across the region.

A LEAGUE OF BUSINESS CHALLENGES THROUGHOUT THE SCHOOL YEAR

Aragón Talent Challenge will run from October to June as a league of business challenges. Students will work in teams to solve challenges set by participating companies and institutions. Before the competition begins, students and teachers will receive training in Challenge-Based Learning, a methodology focused on applying knowledge to specific problems.

The competitive phase will begin between January and June and will be divided into four stages. The first two will be qualifying rounds featuring challenges related to different professional fields. The best teams will then advance to a semifinal and a final, where they will face cross-disciplinary challenges shared by all participants.

Meanwhile, Carmen Susín, the Government of Aragón’s minister for Education, Culture and Sport, highlighted that the program reflects “a commitment to updating and improving Vocational Training,” supported by “ongoing collaboration between educational centers and companies” to ensure that students in Aragón “acquire the skills demanded by the labor market.”

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND EMPLOYMENT SKILLS

The program also focuses on some of the skills currently sought by companies, such as teamwork, creativity, communication, critical thinking and problem-solving. In addition, thanks to Microsoft’s collaboration, students and teachers will receive training in Generative Artificial Intelligence to learn how to use these tools in a practical, responsible and ethical way.

The project also involves companies that will propose challenges, act as mentors and participate on the judging panels. Participating companies include SESE, KPMG, Marlex, ESIC, Tecnara, GFT and Grupo Integra, along with other organizations. The program will also include an employability and networking event to facilitate direct contact between students, educational centers and companies and open up new professional opportunities for young people in Aragón.
