The event centered on 15-minute one-to-one meetings between companies from different areas of the metal sector. Unlike traditional B2B events, the meetings were not limited to finding customers and suppliers, but also provided an opportunity to share experiences, identify potential strategic partners and explore opportunities to develop joint projects. The event also included the participation of leading companies such as ArcelorMittal Tailored Blanks, CAF, Grupo Cintasa and HMY, which shared their business needs and interests with the other attendees.
THE METAL SECTOR AS A KEY PART OF ARAGON'S ECONOMY
“The supplier we need, the customer we are looking for... They are much closer than we think. Aragon's metal sector is a productive network made up of more than 14,000 companies. We must not overlook this potential; quite the opposite: we must strengthen Aragon's supply chain to drive growth across the entire sector,” explained Carmelo Pérez, secretary-general of FEMZ.
For his part, Tomás Ramos, president of MetalHUB, highlighted the importance of creating meeting spaces for companies in the region: “With Metal Business Day, we wanted to bring all that potential together in a single morning, in one room. Today, around 100 professionals from more than 50 companies met face to face to begin a story of collaboration and business.”
NETWORKING FOR DEVELOPMENT
One of the distinguishing features of Metal Business Day was the focus of the meetings, which were designed not only to establish business relationships, but also to encourage the exchange of best practices among professionals and the search for alliances that would enable several companies to jointly undertake new projects or submit bids to third-party customers.
“This event is the embodiment of the principle on which this cluster was founded: competing through collaboration. We are bringing the sector together, connecting companies from every corner of the region that work in fields as diverse as automotive, steel casting and industrial supply. At MetalHUB, we firmly believe that only by working together and collaborating can we go far and tackle the challenges facing the sector in the future,” Ramos said.
FOUR WORKSHOPS ON THE SECTOR'S COMMON CHALLENGES
Alongside the business meetings, Metal Business Day included a program of four workshops delivered by the event's main sponsors: Barón Seguros, ECOLEC, Imascono and Messer Ibérica. The sessions addressed issues of interest to metal companies, such as choosing insurance, environmental obligations, applying AI to processes and optimizing welding through the selection of shielding gases. In addition to the four main sponsors, Metal Business Day was supported by Singular Bank, Lacor Formación and Banco Sabadell.
