FRAGMETAL AND VIVEROS VERÓN: INDUSTRY AND INNOVATION
The jury recognized Fragmetal Calatayud for the new phase it began after joining the ACIN group and for its commitment to modernizing its Calatayud plant. The company specializes in recycling end-of-life vehicles and recovering ferrous and non-ferrous metals for reintroduction into the production cycle, with new investments planned to improve the efficiency and capacity of its facilities.
Meanwhile, Viveros Verón celebrates a century of history this year while maintaining its ties to Calatayud and the primary sector. The jury highlighted the company's evolution, having expanded its traditional fruit-tree production business with advisory, training and knowledge-transfer services. Its latest projects include Fruit Innovation Hub, a platform designed to bring technology and innovation closer to producers.
PANADERÍA LONGARES: TRADITION AND GENERATIONAL SUCCESSION
Panadería Repostería Longares received the Business Development Award for a history that began in 1972, when its founders took over a bakery in Calatayud's Plaza del Olivo. The company is currently run by the second generation and is already preparing for the arrival of the third. Since 2017, it has produced goods at facilities covering more than 550 square meters in the Mediavega industrial estate.
The organizers also highlighted its ability to combine traditional craftsmanship with business modernization, as well as its growth in staff, expansion into other towns and commitment to local employment and suppliers.
