The party has set itself the goal of gathering around 1,100 endorsements in Zaragoza province, as part of the procedure established by electoral law for candidates required to demonstrate a minimum level of voter support in order to run.
The regional spokesperson for SALF Aragon, Cristina Falcón, highlighted the importance of this first stage of the electoral process and encouraged citizens to take part in the endorsement drive. “We want the voice of tens of thousands of people from Zaragoza to be heard in the Congress of Deputies, and the first step is collecting endorsements. Every signature brings the province closer to having representatives who owe nothing to the traditional parties,” she said.
Its president, Alvise Pérez, will head the party’s list for the Congress of Deputies in Madrid. The party made its debut in the European elections, where it won three seats in the European Parliament, although two of its MEPs have since distanced themselves from the project. It also ran in the regional elections in Aragon, but failed to win representation.
