Aragon's vice president, Mar Vaquero, said that no information subject to confidentiality rules in the Riglos wildfire case or concerning the suspect was shared.
Aragon Government denies publishing confidential information on Riglos wildfire

These statements come after the judge investigating the cause of the Riglos wildfire opened a separate proceeding to determine whether content covered by investigative secrecy was leaked. “We respect this request for information through the separate proceeding and will respond to the relevant court accordingly,” Vaquero said after Wednesday’s Government Council meeting.

Vaquero clarified that officials had shared that there was a risk the suspect accused of causing the fire could flee, as he was already outside the autonomous community, something the media had previously reported.

She also said that the statement mainly explained that the Government of Aragon “had joined these proceedings in order to gain greater access to information and also to better defend the interests of all Aragonese people.”
