The Mathematical King Zaragoza Left Nameless: The Statue Almost No One Recognizes Beside the Aljafería Palace

Every day, hundreds of people cross La Almozara Park in the shadow of the Aljafería Palace without paying the slightest attention to a group of geometric-looking concrete structures. At first glance, they see it as just another abstract sculpture among the many scattered through parks built at the end of the last century. It has no sword, no horse, no face and not even a single engraved letter identifying the person it honors. Most people walk past without imagining that the collection of cylinders and prisms is dedicated to one of the most remarkable figures ever to rule the city.
