The works will focus both on installing the new fountains and adapting the infrastructure required for their operation. The project includes renovating the plumbing and sanitation systems, as well as carrying out the civil engineering work needed to complete the project.

The expected completion deadline is December 31, 2026. The project will be carried out in different phases and will require demolition, excavation, pipe installation and the assembly of the new elements.

WORKS TO PROTECT TREES AND URBAN FURNITURE

The project will begin with the removal of the existing fountains and the demolition work required for their replacement. Trenches and excavations will then be carried out, plumbing and sanitation systems will be installed, and concrete slabs and inspection chambers will be built. The work will conclude with the installation of the new fountains in the same locations, finishing work and commissioning.

During the works, any trees that could be affected by the project will have to be protected in accordance with the Municipal Tree Protection Ordinance. The project also establishes measures to preserve streetlights and the other urban furniture located in the work areas. In all cases, the contractor will be responsible for any damage caused to these elements or to third parties, including damage resulting from a lack of lighting during the works.
