Gori Gracia, former Real Zaragoza player and next rival's playmaker

Real Zaragoza has a short working week and begins preparing Tuesday for its match against Europa. The Catalan side, from Barcelona's Gracia neighborhood and forced to play at Can Dragó, is led by Gori Gracia. He is the team's creative hub and will face the club he once belonged to.

Gori Gracia joined Real Zaragoza during the 2024/25 season. It was a move made with the future in mind, and the possibility of loaning the player out that same campaign was even considered. That did not happen, but he was not part of Víctor Fernández's plans either. He played only one Copa del Rey match, against L´Hospitalet, and at 22 he needed to get playing time.

As he was not yet ready to establish himself in Spanish football, a place was found for him at Ibiza, in the third tier (Primera RFEF), when the winter transfer window opened. The midfielder, still owned by Real Zaragoza, did not find his place there either. He won promotion with the Ibiza side, but was neither a key player nor a regular starter.

After terminating his contract with Real Zaragoza, the midfielder joined Juventud de Torremolinos. It was not his year there either. He played 24 matches in total, starting 18 of them. Although he featured regularly, he was not an undisputed starter during his time with the Andalusian side.

So he did not put down roots there either. He returned to his native Barcelona to join Europa. Now, Gori has managed to become an important player for the Barcelona-based team. He has played practically every minute, starting all eight matches played so far.

THE MATCH AGAINST REAL ZARAGOZA

This Friday, Real Zaragoza will face Gori's Europa, which is going through a difficult spell. The team is in the relegation places to Segunda RFEF, with only two wins to its name. As a result, a great deal is at stake for them against the Blanquillos.

But there is an even greater obligation in the Aragonese capital. Real Zaragoza are playing to return to the top of the table, an essential objective if they are to get back into professional football as soon as possible. They have the chance to take another step forward against the Europa side led by Gori Gracia.
