The Aragonese side managed to maintain the draw for much of the match in an open first half, with chances at both ends but few clear-cut opportunities. Both teams sought to take control of the game in a fiercely contested battle for supremacy on the pitch.

Villarreal B threatened early on with a powerful shot from Álvaro García in the ninth minute that struck the post. Teruel also had to work hard to keep the hosts from scoring and found one of their defensive standouts in Nicholas. In the 37th minute, the Teruel defender prevented Ayman from scoring after he had received a great pass from Albert García and rounded the goalkeeper in a one-on-one.

TERUEL HOLD OUT BUT GIVE WAY AT THE END

After the break, the match grew more intense and Villarreal B continued searching for a goal. In the 57th minute, the Yellow Submarine's reserve side briefly celebrated an Ayman goal, but the referee ruled it out for a foul before the shot. The score remained unchanged, with the Aragonese side resisting their opponents' attacks and the draw holding until the final moments.

Just when Teruel appeared close to achieving its goal of earning a point, Fofana appeared. Two minutes from time, the Malian striker received the ball from the byline and fired past the Teruel goalkeeper to make it 1-0. Then, in stoppage time, with the Aragonese side pushing forward in search of an equaliser, Fofana scored again to seal the final 2-0.
