Tarazona Tourism to Become More Accessible with New Digital Tool

Learning about Tarazona’s history, monuments and main attractions will be easier for people with learning difficulties. Tarazona City Council and Atades are working on a new accessible tourism platform offering adapted content to help everyone learn about and enjoy the city’s heritage on equal terms.

A NEW TOOL FOR DISCOVERING TARAZONA

The initiative stems from a collaboration agreement signed by Tarazona Mayor, Tono Jaray, and Atades President, Susana Álvarez Roy. The event was also attended by Councillor for Finance Cristina Sainz and Atades’ representative in Tarazona, Inmaculada Ledesma, who explained that the tool aims to be useful, simple and accessible for visitors.

During the signing ceremony, Jaray highlighted the importance of moving toward a more inclusive and accessible city, especially in a municipality where tourism is one of the main economic drivers. “People come before any activity,” he said, stressing the need for everyone to be able to learn about and enjoy Tarazona’s heritage.

ADAPTED TOURISM CONTENT

Atades’ representative in Tarazona also explained that the platform will offer adapted tourism information about the city’s main attractions. The goal, Ledesma said, is for people with intellectual disabilities to access the content more easily and have the same tourism experience as other visitors.

The platform is currently under development. Tarazona City Council will announce its launch once the work has been completed and will present the accessible resources and content that will be included in this new tool, designed to facilitate access to the city’s heritage.
