A TRUE ROCKER
Recognized as an American singer-songwriter, guitarist and writer, Elliott Murphy began his musical career in New York in the early 1970s. His debut album "Aquashow" received critical acclaim and marked the beginning of a career defined by richly literary rock and numerous collaborations with artists including Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Phil Collins and Mick Taylor.
Based in Paris for more than three decades, the veteran musician and writer has retained the creative drive that began with "Aquashow", about which "Rolling Stone" magazine declared that its author and his work would remain relevant for as long as rock and roll endured.
With more than 35 albums, a career spanning over half a century and a literary career, Elliott Murphy embodies a chapter in the history of popular music, supported by admirers ranging from Lou Reed and Tom Petty to R.E.M.'s Peter Buck and Elvis Costello. Zaragoza residents will have the chance to enjoy a rocker from a bygone era.
