Grata, Karó, Cachito Studio, Amani, Coco Lebrel, Gabriel and nearly 20 other Aragonese brands showcased their latest collections on the grand runway that Plaza del Pilar had become. With a large blue carpet and chairs on either side, attendees did not miss a thing. "We have come to see what is in fashion. I really like fashion, but the truth is that the budget... is what it is, so this is a way to stay informed," a man in the front row said alongside his wife and grandson.
The runway shows began at 11:00 a.m., and from then on it was a display of talent. There were everything from the boldest looks, featuring large volumes and striking colors, to more understated designs with lace and neutral colors, as well as bridal gowns that caught the attention of some attendees. Above all, those who were about to take the big step.
"At Cachito Studio, we have created a collection called 'Aura' in which the color varies according to the aura each person gives off. I believe it is extremely important for Aragonese designers to have a runway and a place where they can showcase all our designs, and what Aragón Fashion Week achieves is bringing them to the general public as well through events like this," designer Nieves Casaus explained.
Meanwhile, Ana Valero, from Amani, was making her Aragón Fashion Week debut with a collection inspired by Jaipur, a city in India that she "loves very much." "I am very happy to be taking part for the first time with a brand that has only been around for a short time. It is characterized above all by color. Color works just as well in winter as in summer," she said while selling one of her shirts.
YOLANCRIS, THE MAIN ATTRACTION
Coming directly from Saudi Arabia, after showing in New York and dressing "celebrities" such as Beyoncé and María Pombo, Yolancris was the highlight of the day. The show began at 1:00 p.m., and many people did not want to miss the brand's designs. "Being able to see it here, in Plaza del Pilar, is a luxury because they are two designers I really love," a young woman said.
With suits, dresses and the most carefully crafted designs, Aragón Fashion Week came to an end this Sunday. Its eighth edition was "a great success," according to the president of the Federation of Textile and Clothing Industries of Aragón, Fitca. "We believe this edition has gone a step further. We have seen very high-level runway shows, and as many as 24 activities were held, including talks and exhibitions. We can say that Aragón is in fashion and that its Fashion Week has nothing to envy in the major ones," he explained.
