The museum, with a new and imposing entrance on Santiago Street, next to Pilar Square, offers different admission options depending on visitors' age, individual circumstances and the experiences they wish to enjoy. General admission costs 14 euros, although visitors who want to complete the tour with the "Goya in the Heights" virtual reality experience will have to pay 16 euros.
This experience features ten virtual reality stations where visitors can admire some of the painter's most important murals, including the frescoes at the Basilica of the Pillar, San Antonio de la Florida and the Aula Dei Charterhouse.
The reopening coincides with the inaugural exhibition "Goya Alone: The Art of Seeing," which can be visited until January 10 and brings together nearly 50 works by the artist from major international institutions and collections. They include "The Duchess of Alba," "La Tirana" and "The Parasol."
